I am happy to present to you the website of the Eparchy / Diocese of St Ephrem Khadki-Pune of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church!
Jesus told us, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Mt 5:14-16) This Christian witness is today made much easier and effective through the World Wide Web. It is in this context that a website of an Eparchy becomes necessary, relevant and effective.
Communication is the key to success! Communication Media plays an important role in this. A website of an Eparchy is a window of the Eparchy to the world through the web or the internet. It connects the Eparchy with the world and the world with the Eparchy. It shares the life and activities, facts and figures of the Eparchy with the world. It is a data source of the Eparchy.
I appreciate all who worked behind the creation of this site. The Eparchial Commission for Communication Media under the Secretaryship of Rev. Fr Geevarghese Panicker OIC and its members Rev. Fr Justin Chempanal, Rev. Sr Hridya SIC, Mr Ajith Kuttiyil, Mr Biju John, Mr Roy Abraham, Mr Jinu Varghese K, Mr Stanley Simon and Ms Preethy Daniel for the creation of this site as well the Youtube channel The Ephremite. There are many other hands that have worked behind. The Eparchy of St Ephrem thanks them all.
I wish all who click this website are inspired by the lay out and content of this website. Let them be enthused by the vision and mission of the Eparchy to share the joy of the gospel, to live the joy of the Catholic Christian faith and to unite all, “that they may all be one” (Jn 17:21) as Jesus wished and prayed and what the Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivanios, the prophet of ecclesial communion, wanted to realize for India through evangelization. I invoke God’s grace on all who use this website!
